Endless pads and brake lines installed

I bought some Endless CCR brake pads and Endless stainless steel brake lines and decided to put on the brake pads first to see how well they perform compared to the stock Brembos. With the CCR pads they grip much better especially at high speeds going above 60mph and just slamming on the brakes. After installing the brake lines the pedal feel is stiffer, more solid and doesnt have that sponge feel like the stock lines. With the stock setup my brakes would fade easily if I were to stop hard going from 80mph down to 30mph. I have done this back to back one time and on the second run I almost couldnt stop in time...scared the crap out of me...probably stock pads heats up too quick and just wont grip as good. Today on the way home I did a couple of repeated hard braking from 100mph down to 30mph a few times and the brake didnt fade at all..I trust my new brake setup now because its that much better. Definately recommend these pads and brake lines. With this combo I would say IMO its at least a 20% increase in stopping power and zero fade. Simply awesome..

you do realize those are not daily driver friendly pads, right? you'd probably be better with ccx or something less, as those really don't grab at all when cold, and yes, if you drive on them cold, in a daily driver setting, they squeel like mad, and you better bed the suckers back in before you do some hard braking.

I run those and a set of replacement rotors for track days. The initial bite is great, and they're an awesome pad on track, but if i have more than a week or so between days, i swap them out for stockies, no questions asked.

Also, when they're not hot, you'll put your foot to the floor trying to stop, not something i really like doing on the streets.

These were recommended from a friend who races in japan and tracks his car 3 times a day and uses it on the streets also. I was told they work fine for street and track. He said the CCR pads are better than the CCX because the compound isnt as harsh as the CCX due to the material? It squeeks sometimes but most of the time its quite..I can live with the sound its a good trade off.

I got these parts in japan.... btw how much did you pay for your CCR brake pads?

right, and as i said, if it's more than a week or so, i'll swap, if it's a week away, i deal with it, then just bed them in again hard the night before the track.

here's the tech sheet on the ccx, and ccr.

As you can see the ccx's are quite low in initial temp (120, rather than 300F) and only give up 200 degrees up top (1300 to 1500).

They are both "Ceramic Carbon Metal".

And i don't remember what i got them for, endlessusa's site gives me an error on the bottom, and thats where i ordered them from, as no vendor here stocked them, and even if they ordered them, it was the exact same price.

Yes, they were from japan, came in normal japanese postal mail. I laughed for a while, and had the co-workers try to read the box to no avail

Durability on both pads are almost the same we will see how well my rotors take the abuse. If they go ill swap in the Endless slotted rotors.

yes, but if you don't drive on track often, you'll never get them hot, thats what i'm sayin. 1 or two quick stops isn't gonna set these pads forever, you'll grind it down. ..and when a company puts a warning on the description about how not to use a product, i kinda listen

all i'm saying, is for a daily pad, i wouldn't use these. On track days, i do a complete swap, pads and rotors. (pads cost like 2x what the rotors did).

edit: my ccr's squeek at low speeds, low temp, and also when they start to get warm (on track), you'll start to hear them a bit too.

they offer slotted, drill, dimpled, etc, etc. or blanks.

i went with blanks. they work just fine, and it's only 2 bolts per wheel to pop the rotor loose. With the wheels off (to swap for track days), it takes me 35-40 minutes to do a full brake swap (depending on if i'm in a hurry or relaxing).

yup, thats what we get for living in this great US of A

but considering the fact that i knew these pads would last me a while ( about one event a month), I dove in.

However, less costly sources are always appreciated
