Question Noises after Hotchkis spring install

I've read that some other people have had some "clunking" with these springs on the forum, but I haven't read anything about a remedy. Does everyone with these springs have this "noise" problem? I have it front and rear only when I go over some bumps. Everything appears to be tight.....if I would have known this ahead of time, I might have gone a different route, but it seemed that every thread I read about the springs was positive....nowhere did I read that the springs were so damn noisy. Maybe they will settle down w/ time

With all the noises the Evo makes I stopped caring where they come from. Mine don't seem to make that much noise check them to make sure their seated properly.

Yes, make sure they were seated properly. I have had them on for 6-7 months and about 12k miles and i just started to get a clunking on real big pot holes from the rear. It doesnt bother me.

Thanks for the info guys.... I guess I just got a little concerned as to whether or not the sounds were normal or not. I'll set up an appt where I got them installed to have them check it out.

I've had mine out for a couple thousand miles and I really dont have any noises. I think every so often I hear something, but the car makes funny noises on its own

From researching these springs ive found that those who did have issues with the clunking after install saw it go away within a weeks time.

Well, I took it into the Dealer today to have it checked out, and everything's tight and they didn't see any problems....they drove it and did notice some noise, but they didn't seem too concerned about it. What do you guys think??

get used to it. i've had my hotchkiss on for 15,000 miles and the clunking and squeeking just get worse for me. everyone who rides in my car always asks whats wrong with it. personally i hate the springs and gonna toss them as soon as i get coil-overs.

Man that sucks...It's not like I didn't research the springs befroe I bought them, I just never guessed the springs would be so noisy...for now I can just live w/ it, but later I might have to go w/ coilovers, especially if it gets worse like yours did

Well this sucks, I was thinking about getting these springs also!

What's the next best spring?

...just simple answer w/out someone pointing out the search option...

I don't have the Hotchkiss springs but after I installed my TEIN H-Techs I noticed a faint clunk as well and after time the clunks got much louder and the ride got more bumpy. Turned out my struts blew out so now I'm upgrading to coilovers. At least I have something to spend my tax return on.

Just because a few people have experienced noises with them doesnt mean that you will. As you can see your going to find someone who has had a problem with every spring. If your worried about creating little noises than dont lower your car or pick up a set of coilovers.
