Tire size/weight help?
Tire size/weight help?
Ok, so I searched here and there for some info without firm results. I am getting 18x8.5 wheels, trying to stay as close to stock as far as total tire height. I was thinking 235/30/18? Or would it be 245/35/18...hehe, maybe even 245/30/18. Anyone know for sure?
Next question, looking to get as light of a tire as possible, can anyone shed some light on this? I have seen pretty substantial weight difference between tires in the past.

A 245/40/18 will give you the same diameter as the stock 235/45/17's. I have Falken FK-451's and they seem to be fairly light.
I had a set of Falken RT-615's on an S2000 I sold and they seemed to be pretty light also.
I haven't seen much info on tire weights but it can make a huge difference.
