I was looking at the Megans, Ksports, and D2s until I saw the group buy for Helix DNAs. If you want to stay under $1K, they're worth checking out.

If you're going to be lowering the car primarily for looks, then why not just get a good set of springs and save yourself a lot of money?

nope not lowering for looks .. yes dont get me wrong car looks better lower. but i love hitting coners and getting springs and blowing out struts on a car with over 60k miles will cost me more in the end. Besides i want car to handle best i can with out more then i need. ASwell i still need to get Both lower front and rear sway bars.

Hi,

I just installed a set of Megan Racing coilovers and I couldn't be any happier. I got them from Zeus for just $890 including shipping. Zeus is a vendor here in EvoM. You can PM him anytime, he's a really nice guy and I love the way he does business.

I recently saw some coilovers from Stance. I think they are Togue Factory house brand. Dont quote me. I hear they are beefier and better built than Megans. They also posted pics to back it up. I dont remember the link or else I'd a posted it. I'd go with some Tein Super Streets if I'm spendin' $1G. Or entry level Tanabes. Good luck with the decision, its tough cuz theres alot out there and no way to test em all before you buy.

Hi,

I'm in a similar boat, I have ~50k miles, and I'm about to freshen up a bunch of things.

I also want to lower slightly, but if possible I'd like to improve the ride quality while maintaining or improving handling.

Does anyone have a comparison or feedback on Helix vs Megan vs KSport? Seems like those three are my top choice at the moment. I'm searching through the threads as well, but any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

FB

Suggestion!!

"I'd like to improve the ride quality while maintaining or improving handling."

I would like to suggest you looking into the Bilstein PSS9 if you are shooting for ride quality along with handling improvement or vice versa. Granted PSS9 is little more expensive than those cheap(~$1000) ones, but the durability and quality of PSS9 is well worth it, IMO. If you shop around, I think that you can get one around $1500 for the Bilstein PSS9. Just my .02
