Cusco Bars Type I & II fitment issue with downpipe

I have a Turbo XS 3" Downpipe and the Cusco Type I & II bars won't fit. Did anyone use spacers to get it to fit. Or can you suggest another downpipe that will fit with no problem. The stock bars were all bent up so I had removed them awhile back.

As a temp fix, I scrambled around to get longer bolts and some steel spacers. The only size I could find at the time were 1" spacers. With this setup, there is an extra 1/4" - 5/8" of clearance from the downpipe but it is closer to the ground now. I'm worried about the bar catching on any high road hazard. It's a good thing my car isn't lowered. I'll try to reorder the hardware kit from Turbo Xs when they open on Monday.

It doesn't seem like any washers would help for the Type I bar? Is there any hope for the smaller bar?

I found someone with a similiar issue.

Pic: This is only a temp setup... too much clearance.

I have the same downpipe..consrtuction is top notch on their downpipe but the only downside is you have to space out the factory bars significantly (about half an inch or more). So I doubt the cusco bars will fit without the same type of spacing..

Yes most of our customers who have used this part end up having to put a few spacers in to allow for clearance. Hope that is the answer your looking for.

You cant space the version 1 lower arm bar. Just put a flat spot on your DP. I mean really.....you dont have 400-500 HP right? That minimal restriction isnt going to rob you of a great deal of HP.

Besides, other DP like HKS are 2.75"

I have the same prob with my JIC DP not clearing the Cusco bar. Thats gonna be my solution.

I went through something similar when I got my Turbo XS catback installed. It seemed to lower the entire TBE down lower because of the exhaust hangers. I was experiencing some vibrating and rattling against my Cusco Lower Arms V2.

Fortunately the gap wasn't as large as half an inch and a couple of washer spacers alleviated the rubbing and vibration.

I imagine it's not just the Cusco lower arms, I would think the stock tie bars would probably rub as well.
