You're kidding, right? Give us a call after the studs strip and your wheel falls off in a hard turn.

What wheel/tire combo are you using with them??

This could be the problem, or it could just be an out of balance tire.

Aftermarket wheels use the tapered lugs, so if you snug them all down by had it should naturally align the wheel correctly. Once you get everything as tight as possible by hand then torque them down. There are alot of cars on the road without hubcentric wheels that don't have a problem. My guess is that is either the install, or the tire/wheel/camber/toe setting just doesn't like where it is at.

I'm Def looking to push the wheels out more toward the Fenders.Granted it will be messing w/ the whole Stock Geometry Setup.

I'm gonna try the Kic's Spacers - Mackin Ind.They gotta have a good product.

Carlos, you are adding some rotational weight, but it is not large in diameter so this will have a negligable effect. It is adding unsprung weight.
Moving the tires outwards does not affect your alignment.

5mm. + original studs shouldn't cause such a mess...I called the H&R tech support before I installed them and they told me that the 5mm spacers weren't recommended to use with the OEM studs but under no circumstance it was a dangerous set up.

btw, my car had a wheel alignment at the Mitsubishi dealer right after I installed the coilovers and the wheel spacers. I thought that the H&R spacers were hubcentric...

The 5mm spacers are hubcentric to your hub, but they do not have provisions to keep your wheel hubcentric. A small portion of your stock hub protrudes through the spacer, but that is generally not enough for your stock rim to catch on and center itself due to the chamfer on the wheel.

I have to disagree with this... but hey, I'm not going to tell you how to set up your car.

Best of luck....

I've never put them on with stock wheels, but with aftermarket hubcentric rings on my enkeis the chamfer wasn't large enough to cause an issue. I understand what you mean though, that's definetly possible with the stock wheels.

All I know is ROBI suggested his 15mm spacers were double hubcentric...whatever that means.....I would like to know the straight scoop on this as well....any experts chime in...does 15mm requirw fenser rolling?

H&R 15mm spacers

Installed the 15mm spacers last nite. Longer studs were supplied in the box. Used a hammer and WD40 to get the OEM studs out...2-3 taps and they came out easy. I don't think the bearing was effected in any way. Then I used a 12x1.5mm nut to pull the H&R studs back into the wheel hub. Again with WD40 it went very easy.
My main motivation was to push the stock front wheels out as my front camber is 2.6 degrees and makes it look kinda funny. H&R says it's safe to widen the track as long you don't exceed 2% of total track width. The Evo 8 track is 1515mm and adding total of 30mm on the axle (15+15mm) is within the safe 2%.
Taking the car on track this Friday...will give you a short report on the handling (hopefully improved handling )

So, I took the car with the spacers to a track day (5.4km track, www.dubaiautodrome.com) on Friday and I can only recommend. Only in the front however otherwise you loose the advantage if you widen the rear track as well. Can handled very neutral, very slight oversteer, which i prefer actually. My Cusco 24mm rear anti-roll bar is set on medium and this really helps to rotate the car. No vibration, no torque steer. Make sure to sandpaper the hub/rotors/wheel (all contact patches) before you install spacers to avoid shutter. Good luck.

TomasDXB, so the 15mm spacers don't have their own studs in them correct?
