Will I need new Rotors?
Will I need new Rotors?
I'm planning to autocross in May. I'm still using the stock rotor and pads. The car has 20k miles on it. Alot of street driving, stop and go traffic... (Ocassionally spirt driving) The stock pads still has 60%+ left. I believed my rotors are still very good.
The evo will not be driven very often from now on, i'm planning to drive it 10-30 miles each week (weekends) (I got 2 beaters
)
I'm planning to change the pads (front and back) to DS2500.
Here are my questions.
1.) Should I also change the rotors? 2.)How can you tell if the stock rotors are still "good"?
3.)Can you only change the front rotor? Or do I have to change both front and rear at the same time? I am getting floating rotors. And my budget will only allow 2 front rotors.
p.s. I heard re-surfacing the rotor is bad. So i'm not considering that.
thx!
