My mistake, on the SCCA stie it says for 2006 it's 140. Was it always 140? I seem to remember the reason the RT-615's were made 200 treadwear was because they couldn't go lower and still be used in ST.

The RT-615 wasn't designed to conform to SCCA regulations. It was made the way it was in Japan where SCCA doesn't exist and just happened to have a treadwear of 200.

Neal, are there any plans for more sizes for the RE-01R?

I'd really love to try them out but I need a 255/40/17 size. IIR they do come in a 245/40/17...

Yeah, it's been that way for a while.

FWIW, the ST in STX, STS, STU, and STS2 doesn't stand for street tire. It's Street Touring. The street tire classes (A-st, esp-st, etc) are only regional classing to provide more competition.

These tires work great on my subaru. I use to have the bridgestone S02 on them and these hold a lot better. they still stick at the end of a good track day. I don't have them on my evo yet but i plan on it after the azenis dies.

Auto Produce Boss uses these on their Demo car.... my friend that works their said they are beeter then the Neovas ... but if you compare Advans AO48 to the bridgestone equivlent (dont remember the name off hand as they dont sell them in the US) the AO48 is better.

I think the ones in japan comparable to the advan A048 is the bridgestone 55s tires. They're pretty much slicks.
