Yes another offset question ...

Check this pic out:

Offset is +15 Front and +35 Rear with wider from fenders .... This is the look Im after. I'm thinking about just saying screw it and buying a 2nd set of Volks as they seem to be light and come in the offsets I want .... now my quesstion is:

For the rear should I stick with the +35 like above or can I get away with the +22 with rolled fenders? I'm planning on running 255-265 Advan A048s on the wheels.

you can use +22 for the rear if you dont' care about rolling fenders. +22 will push the wheels outward and sit more flush with fenders to give a more aggressive look.

No problem fitting 265s on the rear? with the +22?

that, i can't be sure. Im just referencing from what most JDM tuners use (255s) and they have no problems running 255s with fender rolling. I think 265s will require you to roll and pull the fenders.

You happen to know why most of the JDM guys go 255 and not bigger? I noticed that too while looking at my Hyper Revs ... I was told by Robi that the AO48s are "cheater" tires so they are actually a little bigger when compared to others.

yes the Advan A048s are indeed the cheater tires (the actual size is wider than nromal 255s)! I can attest this when I had a set of A048s mounted on one of my wheels from Japan. I noticed this particular tire is much much wider than the 255s S03s that I had.

As for why most JDM guys don't run 265s? well, the tires are really really expensive in Japan... if they can get away w/ running 255 cheater tires, then logically thats what everyone would do. But dont' quote me on this.. this is just my pure speculation based on some facts. haha

If you are going to run Advan A048s here, stick w/ 255s.. it should be more than enough for track use. It'd look quite meaty on your 18x9.5s too

Nice..... thats some good info as know one seems to know a lot about the JDM set ups.

Its so confusing ... now my debate is to just go inexpensive and get the Enkei NTO3s or just go all out and get the Volks ...I like how the volks look but the are 2x as expensive as the Enkeis

For a track wheel the Enkie will be a nice setup. Have you considered CCW wheels? They make great track wheels.

get the NT03s!! Not too many people have them and you will have a lot of money for tires and other mods! plus the design of NT03s wheels will never go outdated! its a true motorsports wheel! Look at the design! The ring that connects the spokes increase the strength of overall wheel rigidty. I have ran over numerous potholes and ugly road bumps on the streets of San Fransico, and my NT03s are still perfectly round!
