Tire Information

Well everyone i just thought i would put some information out on the tires I had which were Summitro HTZR IIs which were not worth a darn on my car which has Espelir springs, works adjustable caber plates, GT Spec rear strut tower bar, and Perrin adjustable rear sway bar set on full stiff with Perrin end links. The HTZR IIs would not even begin to perform the car felt like crap. I complained to the place i bought the car from telling them that the Summitros were the wrong tire for my car, but they refused to make it right for me. So I bought a set of the factory Advans and put them on and the handling is night and day. Just for some general information I marked out a 700ft circle and chalked it on a huge church parking lot and the best I could get with the HTZR IIs was .96g left and .97g right. with the factory advans in place I ran the same circle with a 1.21g left and a 1.24g right. It is unbelievable how well the car handles now.The steering is not mushy it is dead on and very precise. All by the way the weight of the advans i mounted were 22.6lbs each and the tires had 3800 miles on them and the HTZR IIs which had 800 miles on them weighed 24.6lbs each. I would only recommed the HTZR IIs for a winter tire other than that they are in no way shape nor form made for an EVO.

Probably not the best idea as they are a summer performance tire only. Not designed for temps below 40 deg let alone snow and ice.
