REVIEW: RacingBrake
Hey Guys,
Most of you guys know that I am sponsored by RacingBrake, and some of you who know me a little bit know that even so I would not flak for a product that has not proved to work, consistently and predictably. I have been using RacingBrake 2-piece rotors for the past 10 events, just replacing them with New RacingBrake 2-piece rotors that are part of the new RacingBrake 4 piston BBK. In the track events the previous rotors were used in, they were used hard, with racing compound pads ranging from Carbotech XP10 and 11 to the newest Compound, the DTC series, both 60's and 70's. The rotors performed flawlessly. Fantastic heat dissipation, no spider cracking, and the rotors are WELL within spec after the 10 events, and can still last several more. Aside from issues with lines and fluids that have since been resolved, I never have to think about how the brakes are working. For the durability and longevity alone I would suggest that anyone considering upgrading their rotors consider the RacingBrake 2-piece rotors, front and rear, or the BBK. My Evo is a dedicated track car, and receives a fair amount of abuse. Think of how much wear an infrequently tracked street driven evo could get out of these rotors. RacingBrake is more than willing to work with Evo buyers on group pricing as an incentive. Any of you guys with questions can always contact me or Will (Redevolution).

A group buy is certainly possible. All we need to do is hear from you guys! You can see pics of my used Rotors here: http://norcalevo.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=38
I misspoke about the absence of spider cracks, as there are somevery fine cracks on the rotors, as there would be on any rotors after 10 hard events. I am a fairly quick driver, with bests of 1:29+ at Reno-Fernley's 2.4 mile track and 2:04 at Thunderhill Raceway, so they took some abuse. Note the general great condition of the rotors, and the fact t hat you can still see depth int he slots! AS noted before, the rotors are still well within design spec, and there is no reason that they cannotbe used for another 6-7 events.
As regards a group buy, let me talk with RB and see what they are willing to do.
