5Zigen FN01R-C

5Zigen FN01R-C in 17 or 18 ... not too picky but what do you guys think look better and where have you found the best prices on these. On a BBY I am thinking silver 18's but that would mean I would need new tires as well since my current rims are 17's.... any suggestions or experience?

I think 17's are better for track days because there is less unsprung mass but 18's tend to look better. Also, obviously, 17's tend to be less expensive. If you go for 18's, make sure you watch the overall diameter in fitment--you want that to remain stock.

17x9 +35 with 255s FTW! Cheaper and you can run 255/40/17 falken Azenis.

Actually 17's are about $60-80 cheaper per wheel. But I'm not sure how competitive this vender is.

I got my 17x9 in hyperblack for $200 each. That's when WORKS had a special on them. You can probably get them for less if you find a used set.

Anyone else running these have issues with losing the centercaps?

These are my track rims, and I think the centercaps just aren't going to stand up to the heat of a road-course. I lost 2 my last event out, and the other 2 were pretty loose before I removed them.
Looks like they are held on by plastic tabs, and they got hot enough to bend the plastic and just came off. Someone at the track found one of them fortunately!

I'm thinking they are technically weight that doesn't need to be on the car in the end... But I'll need to get an extra one as a replacement I suppose for when I sell them.

Yes I lost mine as well, the plastic just melts with track duty.

Had a track buddy lose one of his OEM caps as well, and it hit my evo in the windshield.
