Any Way To Not Have Speedometer Error?
Before I begin, yes I have searched and could not find anything.
I was wondering if when upgrading to larger rims if there was a way to not have speedometer error. Can you get someone to recalibrate the speedometer? If so who? I know its the diameter of the wheel (when larger) that causes the error. Thanks for helping someone new out!

It's not the diameter of the rim that affects the odometer, it's the overall rolling diameter of the rim + tire. When you get a bigger diameter wheel you usually get a smaller sidewall tire to balance this. Unless you plan to get 22s. Sometimes this is not exactly the same as stock, a little off is fine, the difference is basically negligible.
it should be doable. maybe you could get a flasher to do the logic. with an aftermarket ems you can adjust the speedometer reading, so it must be within the computer's ability. you would have to figure the math and then pay a stiff price. the ems would likely be cheaper.
odd isn't it, with all the laws about mileage tampering you wouldn't think it would be doable.

Ok, thanks a lot. All responses have been really helpful. And I'm not going to 22's. Thinking about getting Volk Racing SF-Winning 18" in gun metal. What do you think about that choice. Recommendation for the rest of the specs of the wheel (new to buying wheels). Thanks for all the help!
