If installed correctly no street pad should squeal. Make sure to use enough anti-sieze lubricant and reuse the shims.

Right now I have Hawk HPS pads. They make a low-tone hum when I brake at low speeds. But I need new rotors so I didn't bother getting my old ones cut or even sanding them down with 60 grit like I normally do.

When installed properly (with shims, lubricant and rotor prep) I never had any problems with squeaking from: stock Brembo, EBC Green, Project Mu B-force or Ferodo DS2500.

Of all the pads I've used I liked the Ferodos the best, Hawk HPS are a close second.

I give a nod for Ferodo DS2500's. Streetable, but definitely good enough for aggressive track use. I've had them on two different cars and love em. They squeak a tiny bit when they first touch, but that's it. No pad should squeal loud(unless it's a full blown race pad) as long as you remember to peel off the (kevlar? I still don't know wtf it is) shim that's adhered to the pad. Use it and the metal shim and you're golden.

Haha RSboy

Satisfied GranSports 6s are good. No squeal, braking is excellent.

Look for my write up on the GS5s, Im installing them tonight in about 15mins. Tick tock tick tock. Ill write up something shortly on them.

I have to vote for HPS for street driving as well. Great price for stock performance. Just use anti-sieze and OEM shims and there would be no squeals. HPS is also gentle on the rotors.

It does squeak when it's really cold outside on the first brake situation of the day, and when the pads gets really really hot.

I never had squeal with oem pads. Installed hawk hps pads with freshly cut rotors, and have squeal at low speed. It gets annoying sometimes.
