when installing new brakeline, has anyone use any kind of sealant or teflon tape to seal up the joints? i just bought a set of Goodridge ss brakeline and do know about fitting problems on the earlier versions and not sure if mine is effected even thought i have the latest part number. after the installation and brake bleeding, the fluid was at the MAX line and after driving around, the fluid level went down a bit, enough to be notice. i checked all lines and fittings and didn't see any leaks. but just to be safe, i want to seal the lines up. does anyone know of brake sealant, tape or should i not bother at all?

don't bother. The copper/brass washers are a softer metal than the metal fittings, so they squish and make a nice high temp high pressure seal. You likely lost fluid as the pads seated again, or you may have done a crap bleed. I'd bleed it again to be sure. When you install lines you need to pretty much do a full flush to remove any stuck bubbles.

yeah no teflon tape is needed on any brake lines since they are usually either a crush washer seal or a double flare fitting.
