How about the 255/35/18's on a 9 inch rim? Would they fit ok?

Yeah that's about a perfect fit. A lot of people, myself included, run 255's on the stock 8" wheels, and the tires fit pretty well, although they (tires) are a bit wide.

I have 18 X 9's with 255/35's with stock fenders. It all comes down to what offset your gonna run. You won't have any issues with a 255 with the front wider fenders. You may have issues with the rears depending on your offset.

The fron't won't be a problem, but you'll likely need to roll the rears. Should work though.

Mine are 29 offset and I had some slight rubbing on my rear fenders til I got them rolled. You may be close, but it shouldn't be a problem.

also, you only need 18x9's to run a 255/35/18 ... no need for a 9.5, it will only give you more clearance problems.
