Front Struts

I have a little over 40K miles on my evo which is fully stock. I had the dealer check out a front suspension noise and told me i need new front struts/shocks.

Question is, for those who have stock suspensions, how many miles before replacing them?

I was also looking for after market struts/shocks cause mitsu is just asking for way too much. What brand is best to use?
I've been looking on this site and the web and all i can find are the rear shocks and/or lowering kits.

Any vendors out there selling front struts?

Mine are around 35,000 and are pretty well shot, so yeah, 40k sounds reasonable.

I bought a whole new coilover setup for my car, your best bet may be to find a low-mileage set of used MR Bilsteins. Aside from that I don't know who makes replacement struts.

Yeah. I was just looking at the FS section and may go with low mile used.

And easy, but not so cheap way to go is the Ohlins fixed-perch struts that use the stock springs:

Well, i would really like to sell all for struts, I can take the Tanabe Springs out. I believe the struts have under 10k miles on them (i bought them of a evom member about 5 months ago) I also have the stock springs that came with the struts. Send me a PM if interested.
