Alignment question

Well I just installed my coilovers and I need an alignment pretty badly. But my question is, I have a new rim/tires coming in, should I keep my stockers on during the alignment? I was suggested to keep my stockers on because a lot of alignment shops scratch/mess up your rims? Would the alignment still be good with a new setup?

Installed: stock rims and sized tires.
Installing: 18x9.5 rims with 255/35/18

either would be ok- the different rims won't change the alignment.

I always bring a roll of masking tape, or duct tape, when I get an alignment and have them tape the rims in the area where they mount the equipment. If they do this, you won't get any scratches.
