Tanabe Sway Bars

I was wondering if anyone has used Tanabe front/rear sway bars either individually or as a set. If so what has been your experience with them?

I have been thinking about getting them for my IX MR along with Tanabe GF210 springs and Tanabe front/middle/rear lower arm bars $1,300 installed at Axiom.

After reading the forums it seems like a lot of well respected suspension guys like Robispec recommend a 24mm or bigger adjustable rear sway, spring combo with no front sway.

It no doubt would be best to go with a setup from someone like Robispec who specializes in suspension ($1,600 for suspension basic from Robispec), but would the Tanabe setup above be bad or waste of money for someone who will drive 80/20 street/track like me?

Thanks for the advice in advance!

Front diameter:25.4

Rear diameter:22.0

Increasing the front to 25.4mm and the rear to only 22mm does not sound like a great solution to me. Plus, I like an adjustable rear sway, as it gives you at least a little bit of easy fine tuning you can do yourself.

I think overall it may be an improvement, but i know you could get a lot more out of a lot less money.

Just my thoughts as i'm waiting for my pasta to cook.

Yeah I really started thinking it wasn't a good idea when I found out the size of the sways. Tanabe doesn't list that spec anywhere, I had to do some searching to find out. They do say something about the material their sways are made of makes them uncomparable to other sways. Sounds a little like BS to me.

There is probably a good reason not many other people are using Tanabe sways

Thanks,
