have you bed-in the pads properly?

That is the main cause of pad noise/squeeking.

If you didnt bed-in the pads, I suggest you do it soon.

squeaking brakes is fairly common among all Evo's. Eights and Nines. That don't all do it, but a fair amount do. It's not damaging, so I wouldn't worry about that part of it. It is annoying though (mine squeaked pretty bad on the second set of pads),

I've had both the 8 and the 9.
I never had pad squeal on the 8 or the 9.

IMO, improper bed-in is the main reason why the pads squeal unless you are running race (hard compound) pads.

I've only had my brakes squeal once but that was before I did the bed-in procedure. Not one peep from them yet. Try bedding it in and see how well that works.

dude, i got a squeaking sound right after i install my new coilovers!!! darn, im also lost here man, before i replaced the stock suspension everything was ok, then this happened. same as your story, only on light breaking it squeaks.
