help Knocking noise

on the drive home from my first track day noticed a knocking noise coming from front left side sounds like coming from wheel area

funny thing is it happens when i just pull away at low speeds and brake to a halt , i thought it might be brake pads gone but it still knocks when i pull away slowly no brakes applied

also knocks when going round bends but at low speeds both when i turn left and right

any ideas as to what it could be kinda ****ed off only done a few laps

any help would be muchly appriciated

thanks

p.s the car has just had new coilovers with adjustable top mounts fitted less than 1000 miles ago.

Coilovers could be improperly adjusted. My friends Kei office used to squeak and pop all the time. It could also be your exhaust (if you have one). Mine knocks against the driveshaft during corners and sometimes if im just sitting there at idle it'll knock and stop once i get going. My bet would be your coilovers. Check them again when you can.

I chased a knocking noise from my font end recently, and it turned out to be an easy fix. I had pulled my front wheels to inspect my brake pads, and re lube them. I then had a low speed knocking that was irregular and hard to pin down. I lifted the front end again, and discovered that the right side wheel wasn't on perfectly straight, and had the smallest bit of play when I pulled on it hard. I pulled the wheel off and put it back on, making sure everything was proper; the knocking noise was gone.

Just my 2 cents.

How would one adjust the coilovers improperly and get that knock sound? My coilovers knock but only in the rear so I'm assuming they can be just as quiet as the front if I adjust them.

I have the same problem except I can feel it in my feet. I have HKS Hipermax RS's. The car does not handle any differently, but when I travel over railroad tracks and other bumps in the road it makes the knocking. It is coming from the right front. I jacked the car up and found nothing damaged or hitting. It is strange.

I get a very light clinking, metal to metal sound like to pieces of aluminum are clapping together and its at very small bumps...I'm going to take the rears off and see if I left anything loose because I can't imagine the friends are quiet and just the rears clink.

I ad the same little clap on little bumps. it turned out to be the middle bolt on the untightened when i was adjusting the height on the coilover. i couldn't pinpoint it for the longest time and made my wife get in the trunk while i drove.
