Which coilover? Megan, apexi, or tanabe

Hi insurance is paying for a set of coiovers for my car but im limited to around 1200. Ive been looking and i ive come down to either the Megan apexi or tanabes.

First of all ive been hearing that megan and apexis are the same so would there be any reason why i should get apexis over megans?

and ive been looking at the tanabe sustec pro s-s

what would you guys say is better? or do you have another set in mind? any opinion or advice would be appreciated. thanks!

Ps: this is for normal street and maybe some track use

I think you left out one real contender...Ksports. They have all the features as the others you have listed and in some cases more. You can find more about them at the Ksport Website
Ksport

In my opinion they are the best coilovers on the market for the money. Do a search and you will find lots of folks with similar opinions.

Good luck with your search!

I have a set of BC Racing coilovers and they are a nice upgrade from stock. Much improved performance once dialed-in, and for sure improves the styling of the car. BC Racing is the parent company of both Megan and Apexi's coilovers. I would have to say go with BC Racing VH series because of price. They're the parent with the quality and the lowest price tag.

Did I mention mine are for sale because I ordered a set KW's today?? :P They only have maybe 1k miles on them.

I think there is a set of street Tein coil overs in that price range. if I wasnt goin to get the best there was availible or atleast what I think of it being. I have Muellerized JICs with custom spring rates. I love them to death. I really couldnt imagine a better suspension then the stock EVO. I had alot of different cars in the past all with aftermarket springs/dampers. Eibach and AGXs on my 1g(I still have), Eibach and Tokico on my EG Civic. Bilsteins and M3 springs on my E36 BMW. Apex Springs and Tokicos on my old beater 91 Tsi. I still thought the STOCK EVO was the best of all of them.

I got megans on my MR and they are great.
They come complete with adjustable upper mounts so there is no need to **** around with spring compressors etc.

Once you get the alignment done and the damping dialed in for your style of driving, let sjust say that the car sticks to the road like shyte sticks to a blanket.

I'd also check these out.

Heard some great reviews both in quality, comfort and serviceability. I think PURE Tuning is a major distributor as well. good luck.

Ive heard good things about the tanabes. Personally I run zeals and could not be happier. A little pricey but I felt that a good suspension was worth the pinch.

Do a search on "Megan coilovers" and "Zeus" as the user... I'll let the customers do the talking...

Ksports for $775 brand new shipped FTW.

btw, ksport's camber plates have more room or length to adjust camber than the helix, apex, megan camber plates.

I think there will be more reviews once next season kicks off (for those of us in the colder climates), many users are tracking them.

Pure Tuning is indeed an Authorized Dealer, we make a set specifically for them.

There's certainly a lot of choices out there that span a large range of price, which is good because there is a better chance of finding an application for almost any budget and need.
