have you pulled the adjuster knob and used and stuck an allen head wrench in there to make sure you are actually tightening the nut? I am not familiar with megans, but most coilovers I have seen need a hex (allen head) wrench stuck in the top of it to prevent the spinning.

I am having the same problem with the BC Racing coilovers, they sent me the rubber mounts to see if it helped the noise and it did a lot, so they are sending me new pillow ball mounts.

i've got a weird noise too.......but its not a clunking noise.

i just put on a set of used coilovers and there is a little squish noise coming from the front left strut whenever i go over any medium size bump in the road (normal driving, it doesnt do it on small bumps, only where it needs to compress a decent amount).....almost like it has its own little blowoff valve whenever it rebounds.

what could this be? i hope the strut isn't popped. it doesnt feel like it is, there is no excessive bounciness or anything.....

you need to take them out and check to see if you could screw the bottom mounting bracket out.

if one is stuck, you didn't tightened the lower collar enough, so now you have cross thread, and it'll keep on making that noise until the kingdom come.

I would get some lithium grease and dab them on the pillowball to see if that helps any.

Well someone at megan claimed they are going to send me new top hats but it is going to take a few weeks to get them in, hope they're not jerking me around cause I'm a tad upset over the lack of customer service I've been getting cause this noise is obviously not normal..
