Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone could help me... I just bought an '06 EVO IX SE and have been getting an annoying loud noise from my front driver side brake... It's like a squeaking but continues to make a noise from say 15mph till stopping... I only have 1400 miles on the car so any thoughts?

Have you tried taking the pads out and smother the shimp with squeek-stopper-paste?

 

wow.. maybe its a flat tire... or gremlins.

 

It's pretty normal. Some don't have it, but most do. Did you bed your pads? I assume not.

 

+1. Bed pads. I had a a really bad low speed squeak when i 1st got my car and it was because the previous owner didnt bed the pads in. Stopped after i changed them.

 

How do you bed pads? I have a groaning noise at low speed operation?

 

To bed your brake pads to your rotors, do a 60mph to 10mph hard brake, do not come to a full stop. Then repeat again 7-10 times in succession.
Drive around to 10 mins to let your brakes cool off. Your brakes should now be bedded in.
