Yes i have searched, and am more confused

Tires needed for my IX...wheels are 8.5x17...dont need to be winter tires as i'm in Alabama

what size should i buy, and in what tire?

This is tire faq thread at the top of the forum. Read it and then decide on what you are looking for in a tire .... eg: spirited driving, auto-x, track, winter/snow, etc ...

As for size, you could get either, 245/45/17 , 245/40/17 or 255/40/17 tires to fit on those rims ...

 

looks like its going to be Kumho ECSTA MX in 255/40/17.... i think or maybe 245/40/17
