brake light on??
my brakelight on my display just recently started coming on. it seems to go away once the car is warmed up or at times when accelerating or braking. obviously my ebrake is down but the light is on regardless. has this happend to anyone else? what is this from and is it easy to fix? thanks!

I think this means your brake fluid is low. How old are your brakes??? If the brake pads are low this will cause the fluid to go down and in turn cause the light to come on.
I concur ^^
But There could possibly 9unlikely) be you E-brake switch is going or that line is shorting to ground.
But yeah Brake pads should be checked and replaced if needed, THEN top off the fluid, otherwise its gonna mess up you engine bay. If your pads are good just top off the fluid and inspect the brake lines and hoses for leakage. My money is on brake pads.

You brakes are wearing down. Do not add any fluid. When you change your brakes the light will go off because all the fluid will be returned to the master cylinder after you push in the pistons. If you top it off now, when you go to change your brakes, brake fluid is going to be all over your engine bay.
yeah i think my pads need changed, i have 37k miles on the original pads the squeek occasionally, usually when its cold. i am ordering some new ones soon, so hopefully that will take care of it. thanks for the advice.
