I bought a 03 VIII the start of this year and the springs and struts are all jacked up. So I have an opportunity to get my friends struts off his 06 IX. When i started looking online for lowering springs,since i'm already changing them might as well lower it right, I see that they are spicific to the year (springs for 03-05) (springs for 05+). My question is, will the 06 struts fit onto my 03 without a problem??? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance!

 

The shocks, struts and springs are interchangeable for '03-'06 models. The big variable is going to be the Bilstein shocks and rear springs in the MR. These are somewhat different than the VIII/IX GSR/RS rear spring/shock combo with the spring being the key factor. If you're just swapping struts, you should be fine.
