tire sizes
just bought some new rims and was debating what tire sizes i could use. right now 265's seem to be the ideal choice. however was wondering if 275's would work without any rubbing or fender rolling. seen 275's on sti, but they had to do some slight fender rolling. i'd appreciate anyones input.
well 275's im not sure, most likely rolling fenders. they had 1 sti with 265's and no rubbing and no fender rolling was required. and from what i heard evos can handle slightly bigger tires than a sti without the rolling of the fenders. tried the 255's on the rims and they werent big enough, the tires weren't flush with the rim and actually had to stretch it a ways to get it onto the rim.
255's are about the biggest that you'll be fitting under our fenders, depending on tire height. 265's will be borderline and you very well might rub, 275's need to be rolled. Are you lowered at all?
nope i have not undergone any suspension work yet. dont know if i will or not in the future. just i dont like the way the 255s have to be stretched just to fit onto the rim. i'd rather have them nice and flush with it.

i agree...i think once u pass 255 ur lookin at rubbing. i remember reading a thread about tires sizes on 5zigen's fno1r-c in 9.5" wide and those who had 265/275 needed fender alterations. track down some members who use use 265/275 tires and pm them
9.5 width with 34mm offset will likely require fender rolling with any tire size, but you won't know until you p ut them on. This will also change over time with suspension. I'm sure you didn't purchase huge rims with no intention of installing a proper suspension, right?
I have 18X9.5 +40 with 25mm spacers and 285/30-18s - that required major fender rolling up front and minor fender rolling in the back (no spacers in the rear).
