I've have a popping noise that I get when driving the vehicle for the first time after it's been sitting for a day or so. It only happens when I first start rolling and then it stops. No visible problems of changes in driving characteristics. I believe it may be a wheel stud but I was wondering if this is common? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

rear brake pads sticking. your pads will stick to the rotors after sitting for a while. once you start to move the pads will break free from the rotor causing the noise.

 

No suspension mods on the car.

 

do you use the e-brake when parked? if so, next time you park the car overnight dont use the e-brake (just leave it in first gear) and see if the sound is present when you leave the next day

I'll bet it's the e-brake. My pad sticks after it's sat for a day or 2 and it was driven previously in the wet. Sometimes it sticks so badly that it feels like I've hit something when attempting to back up, the bang is so loud and the car shudders heavily.
