Kosei k-1 Ts for winter setup

Hi, just got a graphite gray mr and need a winter setup.

I will most likely be getting a set of 225/45/17 hakkapelita's with studs, just need to find wheels now.

So far best match I've found is Kosei k-1 ts (light grey painted) 17x8.

Any reason I wouldn't want the kosei's with those tires?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks, I've done a bunch of searghing but still overwhelmed.

If they're just for the winter tires you can always get some Rotas and save a few bucks. They will do the same job as the Kosei wheels will.

I just sold an almost new set of 17" Kosei k-1 ts with BFG drag radials for $1000.

Definately a good wheel and some of the lightest 17's you will find.

Smile Kosei K-1 TS + Blizzak WE-50

I just got a set of Kosei K-1 TS with the blizzak WS-50 tires for my MR. The wheels are beautiful and light. The tires are incredible. I have them on my 95 Eclipse GSX so I know what they can do. Took them out to the mall parking lot with four inches of new snow and had some fun! They really stick. I used to run Haka's years ago but switched to the Blizzaks and found them to be much better on snow and ice. I can't speak for the new Haka's though.

If you want to save some money and go cheap check these MB's out(gramlight knockoffs), http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...4.3&vid=008389
They don't look too bad either and they're going to get messed up with the crappy weather, right?

edgeracing.com has cheap "black" wheels that I would use for winter rims, the koseis are REALLY nice/light for drag/auto xing.

I got 17 x 7 Enkei RS 5'... I put Dunlop SP winter Sport 3D's on size 205 50 17

Paid about $1300 total. I think Enkei RS 6 and CDR9 will also fit. But the RS 5's fit with no rubbing

Thanks for the help, guess I have nice taste since you guys all seem to like the k1-ts very much.

I realized I can't get the k1-ts until the 5th of feb. Its supposed to be sunny for the next ten days(it usually snows a lot in tahoe, but not this year). Even so this is longer than I'd like to wait.

As of right now I'm leaning towards some gun metallic rota torques, and also considering the mbs.

I did pick up the hakkapelitas yesterday-good deal and only used for 2 weeks.

Thanks again, I'll update with pics once I finally decide.
