Pad questions

Can you go to a local parts dealer (NAPA, AutoZone, etc.) and get a good set of pads? My car is used for DD only, and my rears are just about ready to go, so I decided to just to all four corners. While I see the OEs are pricey ($300 or so), I don't want to buy **** ones either. I have serched, saw alot about Hawk, Axxis, etc., so no flaming please.

Bascily, what do you all recommend for a DD that will probably never see the track? While I Can spend $300 on pads, if i don't have to, I would be really happy

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard of people having good luck with Raybestos. Personally I wouldn't use cheap ones.

Hawk HPS are good for DD, I would not go with cheap parts house pads. The HPs can be found for under $200 for all four corners.

I ended up ordering some Hawk HPSs from EvoBrakes in the vendors forum. Great guy and can't wait to get these on. Will post how they feel once I install them.
