Coilover quesiton?

Hey everyone,
I'm from south cali near city of industry. For those who lives in S. cali, we all know the road here is not as great is the North. cali. My car is mainly for everyday driving, and 4-5 times a year for time attact at speed trial usa! I understand sometimes after market suspenion were never build for streets use. I'm willing to satisfy somewhat of the stifflless on the ride. But, not extremely stiff like Tein RE, i had on my NSX. For those who rode RE's before. You know what i'm talking about. I've been looking at these Apexi N1 ExV Damper. They look pretty nice, but don't know if it rides as nice?? It would be helpful to post some feedback! I am open for other brand coilover's opinion. Thanks!

Other brands that you should consider for a street/track setup are Bilstein PSS9, KW variant 3, Vishnu Ohlins and Ohlins R&T ... much better setup to run on the street than their JDM counterparts

I would consider the Cusco Zero 2E w/e-con or the Cusco Zero 2R. They are the best for the money in my mind. The ride on them is awsome and they track awsome also (Nukabe uses them on their time attack car).

Unfortionately on an EVO i have not! But I have in 240sx and STI's I have friends that had other coilover set-ups (Tein, etc.) and then switched to the Cusco's and now that is about all we will all buy! I don't think that in the States they are as popular as some other brands just because there are not as many shops that can carry them! I don't think that you would be disappionted!

I had JIC's on my 240sx, but they were stiff as hell! You felt everything... I hear on Evo's they are quite comfortable though. A friend of mine works for JIC and he said they cant keep em in stock for the evos. Also look up the Megan Racing coilovers. They are cheap and have held up well and are supposed to be comfortable on the street. Contact Zeus on here about em. Hes a distributor for Megan i believe.
