Light weight FSTB

Have any been made yet? I know the optional OEM tower bar was lighter but at a price. I'm looking for one that's cheaper and just as strong (no flex) as the OEM. Less weight is the goal here.

If your looking at killing weight, I think it would be more beneficial to find weight savings elsewhere in the car. That stock strut tower brace is not that heavy.

Someone mentioned the accesory version being around 10 lbs lighter than the standard. That's a substancial weight savings personally. Espcially when considering the labor involved in doing so is negligent. I guess more than 10 lbs "could" be shaved off if the right material is utilized. Maybe something like Ti. Seems worth it to me at the right price.

Go to www.machv.com

Dan has the Cusco Titanium front strut tower braces. It looks awesome and shaves 6.5lbs off the OEM one.
I think it's around $475 or so.
Expensive, but so are women, and they dont add performance, and the Ti FSTB doesn't ***** if you don't call!

6.5 lbs I guess the 10 lbs assumption was a bit off then. I know it takes about 100 lbs to be significant, but it's not like you can just lop off the secret hidden weights installed underneath the car.
Little by little eventually I think I will get around that 100 lbs mark if shops know that the weight reducing is an important theme to hold onto and products keep coming out. The lighter exhausts and battery kits are a good step in the right direction.
If anyone else has any FSTB ideas recommendations lemme know. Thanks!
