i ran Hawk HPS pads on my G35 coupe. Squeled all the time at low speed braking. Not only annoying, but also embarassing. I will never run Hawks again. When it comes time to replace my stock pads, ill pick up some Project Mu's. Late

I'm pretty sure most people will say they have to be bedded properly but I have also read even after bedding HPS are loud. I read the same thing about MU's street also but I'm putting these on soon.

Hawk HPS pads aren't that noisy, they definitely will squeak a bit at low speed braking when they are cold.

I agree with Andrew. It really depends what your going to be using the pads for whether it be everyday driving, tracking, etc. Also, it's going to depend on what factors in a pad are important to you e.g. noise, brake dust level, initial bite, etc.

I had Hawk HPS pads on my 03 8 and they were just fine. Quiet, low dust and stopped just as well as the stockers. I heard all the horror stories about them also. If installed right they are fine.

hmmm seems like mixed feelings about the hawk pads, Project MU will probably be easier for me to get in Australia, let us know how you went with the Project MUs. I am assuming if I went for the standard brembo replacements it will cost me a bomb???

Porterfield R4S pads. Best street pad I've ever used. And I've used pretty much every pad (and then some) mentioned in this thread.
