HKS Hypermax II!

Just recieved my new Suspension in HKS HYPERMAX II! Only one problem I'm deployed to iraq and can't install it for another 4 months! Anyone else out there have the same set that can share info about how they ride?

HKS USA does not sell the Hipermax II in the US anymore, they now have the Hipermax RS coilovers which offer softer spring rates (6 kg F and 5 kg R) and valving specific for US roads compared to the II's spring rates of 7 kg F and 6 kg R. I love the ride of the RS's and I've driven cars with the II's and they both ride really well.

If you're looking for dedicated track coilovers the spring rates and valving aren't really designed for that, but my car rides far better on these than they did on the stock suspension. My only complaint is that dampening changes are made at the bottom of the strut which requires raising the car to do so. Apart from that I couldn't be happier. I'm sure you'll love yours when you put them on. Keep in mind that things like ride quality are subjective along with things like exhaust noise.

I had a set on my 03 and they are way too soft for my taste. However, they do ride nicer than the stock suspension. I changed to Zeal V6 12/10 kg for my 05 and 12/12 XS for my 06. I can truely say the Zeals are much better in both handling and comfort.

I had the hypermax IIs and I really liked the ride and adjustability but I had to have the fronts shipped to HKS japan when I owned them to have them rebuilt due to a clunking noise. $150 labor each + parts and shipping
