The only people I would buy suspension parts from are:

Robispec ( http://www.robispec.com )
Works ( http://www.worksevo.com )
GT Worx ( http://www.gtworx.com )

I have a setup that's a bit more intense than what you listed, so I can't comment on them, but I'm sure any of the 3 people I listed can get you something reasonable that will perform well.

The Vishnu coilovers (Ohlins) developed by Chronohunter are also very good. Awesome daily drivability and amazingly quick on the track.

To be honest, none of those

I dunno, Im still in the camp of getting decent coilovers or not getting coilovers at all. Ive just heard too many horror stories about the $1k range coilover sets that Im just staying away and going with a nice set of works ride springs/rear sway/bump steer kit for now.

About the cheapest I would go would be for KW Variant 3's, those wont break the bank, and a good coilover for intro price ($2k).

+1

The Vishnu/Ohlins is an exceptionally well developed suspension for the evo. For me (limited time/experience) it's perfect since I don't have to do any adjusting to get it right.

There have been some good reviews on these springs in some mags. Good weekend track coilovers but are good on the street.

The whole idea behind chosing the "ideal" coilover is making sure that it's spring rates and dampening charastics will fit your car, so there is no one universal answer. It also depends on driving style. So first, will your car be gutted, what will it weigh in at, and what type and size tires will you be running. From what i can infer from your original post, you don't seem to have extensive knowleage of the options considering that all your links were from hop up racing. So from that, i'm assuming this will be a full street trim car no roll bar or cage and running 255 at best street tires. So for that i would suggest PIC, their valving is great and the spring rates are tolerable. I would avoid Megan/Apexi and BC for the fact that they are univercal coilovers, they use the same shock body for a "general" setup and weld different mounting brackets to them. PIC has been specifically designed for street trim evo, taking into consideration their weight, tire type, and purpose. If you need more help feel free to PM me, i'm an avid NASA Time Trialer and I work with several evo suspensions out of my shop.
