For street use, I would run a 18x9.5 35mm give or take a mm on the rear, and 18x9.5 with a 25 mm offset give or take a couple mm. If you are looking to be able to rotate tires, 35mm give or take a mm with 18x9.5 using a 10mm spacer up front with a 265/35/18 would be my choice. The 285/30 tire in the rear requires fender lip rolling to make it work. Hope that helps.

Mark - that helps alot ... and for the wheel spacers... can you better explain that theory, alot of people claim that a wheel spacer reduces the handling of your car... now i understand that they have 10mm wheel spacers, and i acknowledge that 10mm is very slim.... but wouldent you be able to substitue a wheel spacer with a good offset? .... Moral of the question - why do people put wheel spacers when there are proper offsets?.....

Thanks ~ Steveo

I run 17X10's but with a 13mm spacer front 3mm back. Had to get extended studs in front. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=207744

The reason you would run spacers would be so that you could rotate the tires without having to get them remounted. I don't believe that it is possible to run a 18x9.5 rim of the same offset, and have it fit both front and rear, hense the use of spacers. If you don't care about rotating tires, then just order the correct offset rims for front and rear, and no spacers would be necessary.

Kodiac - thanks for setting your car as an example, those 17x10 are nasty bad... great choice

Torre - lol that is a sickkkk @$$ link, provides good info, and has a SIIIICCKKK 18x10 example, even though the CCW rim would not be my first pick, but great example

Mark - that helps alot thank you very much

~ with all this info i should be ordering my rims by tonight lol

Thanks ~ Steveo

Thumbs up offsets

i have done research in offsets..... is there any ONE certain type of offset that is best suitable (best performance) for our car(s).... or is it just personal preference on how *far out or how *far in* the wheel will be presented?

that being said, since we all have figured out that you can do a 18x10 (just like EVO-L and his CCW rims) ... what would be the best offset for a 18x10 to fit our Evo's?
-by the way lets get some offsets without any spacers needed

~Thanks Steveo

Could you run an 18x9" wheel without any problems for daily-duties?

your offset will play a role in how wide you go as well...i'm running 18 x 9's with an 18mm offset and rolled my rear fenders---it rubs occassionly when i'm carrying a full load of people

Hey, I just noticed this thread. I believe the offset for the CCW's was 44mm. Then I ran a 15mm up front, and an 8mm in the rear. Front spacer was for the Brembos, and the rear spacer was for the control arms. I have another set of Work wheels coming in that are 18x10, they should be here by the end of the month, and I will post pics up. As far as the CCW's went, they did not rub at all, and I didnt even have to roll the rear fenders. I hope that helps! Any more questions I will be glad to answer.

Thumbs up Yeezz Zirr

Evo-L ..... that helps allllot, i just have one more question... do you know of any offset that you wouldent have to run spacers?.....

RideEvo9- lol dude i totally know how you feel with that full load crap.... im taking out my rear seats..... it gets ridiculous, im always driving... but that is giong to change real damn soon

Work Wheels is a great choice, im leaning towards the Volk 28N..... reason being is that in my research i found out that the Work Wheels and the ADVAN Wheels are both Cast.... and the VOLKS are forged.. ( for people that arent familiar.... Since the Volks are forged.... that makes them lighter and stronger)

-I would with out a doubt in my mind go with the WORK EMOTION and also the ADVAN RC2, over the VOLK 28N.... but like i said again Volks are forged.... well what im basically trying to say is .... the ADVAN and WORK... look better then the VOLK.. but the VOLKS are forged
Thanks ~ Steveo

As far as 18x10 on the rear goes. If you are running at a lowered ride height where the wheel can get to the fender lip, it won't work. If you are going to keep ride height close to stock with some stiffer springs then it might, but I don't see what the advantage to doing that is.
