...well the BBS wheels weigh in around 18lbs and are 17x8...I sold my BBS wheels since the tires were shot and opted to get a set of SVNs...IMHO I would rather have the 18x9 SVN vs the 17x8 BBS...a taller wheel , lower profile sidewall, an extra 1" in rim width, and simply stated a different look then stock...just me though...

...I am not much for the whole 2 extra lbs arguement since the stock Enkies weigh 20.5lbs same as the SVNs...dunno about the p25r

...do what makes you happy

don't trade your BBS for rota's. like everyone else said make it as a second pair.also thought of that but come to think of it for me BBS are much expensive than the rota's (that's what i think).it's all upto you.

why make the other one as a beater and the other pair for street use.

well i dont have the bbs wheels, they're the enkies...perfect condition though, 750 it just a lot..i'll try to renegotiate...my whole thing was getting some fat tires mostly for looks, and based on your guys experiences the rotas are pretty durable so im not worried about the performance anymore....i'll try to bargain him down quiet a bit more. thanks

So some think that it is a good price?....and others don't....what's a legitimate price? Rims and tires + rims and tires swap and how much cash...? Stock ix enkeis and 70% tred....for rato p45r and federal tires with 95% tred left.....let me know thanks!

why do u people keep saying bbs rims....

he has said enkie 10 times already... lol

the stock ix wheels are worth about 600-800 in mint conidition add another 400-500 for the tires...

he paid 1800 shipped... probably 1650 without shipping when u sell things u have to take a hit, thats just how it works. figure if he sells them hell get 1400 for them in person.

i say if u give him ur wheels and 200-300 thats a fair trade... any more than that ur getting ripped.

you could sell ur wheels on here for 1000-1200 easily with tires..... those tires go for 250 new EACH!

cheers!

Use that link to check out Kyoichi(SoCal retailer)...he can get you a new set of Rota Slipstreams for about $325 including shipping...I have bought 2 sets from him, 17 x 8's. Great set of inexpensive rims...Grassroots mag has good things to say about this Phillipine companies product 'specially for the price.

...LoL...you lucky dog!!!

...but having a family I cannot justify spending $2600+ for wheels only just to save 2lbs per corner over the stock enkies...even though they are beautiful...

...and if you ever curb one or damage one its a real PITA to replace

...for $900, you can buy 2-piece aluminum hat rotors and probably save at least 2 lbs per corner...(-:

I'm running Rota Slipstreams in a 17x8.5 on my '05 VIII RS. Car has almost 40k miles on the clock. Rims are strong. No complaints. In fact the Gruppe-S Legacy, which runs in Grand American Sport Tuning and USTCC, runs Rotas too. I saw the car on SPEED a few months back racing in Colorado. When I went in for a tune later that week the car was there and I talked with Mike Warfield (formerly of Gruppe-S, now with GST) and he told me that he'd also been running Rotas on their WRX rally cars for years.

Bottom line: If you like how they look and the price is competitive, don't think twice about it. They're strong, durable rims.
