car pulls to the right....... still

so i took my car back to the dealer for the "5000 mile service" as stated in the manual... they rotated my tires and the car pulled to the right the whole way home... i could change lanes without touching the steering wheel. I figured an alignment would fix the problem so i took my car to the firestone shop down the street and got an alignment. the mechanic there told me that he got the car aligned as good as it will get according to the mitsu spec. but the car still pulls to the right......... any suggestions?

Take the car back and make them print out the alignment specs. Post it up here.

If the pull happened right after they rotated the tires you might have a broken belt in one of the tires. This will also cause a pull. Have them switch the tires back, or switch the 2 front tires from side to side yourself and see if the pull moves to the other side, or goes away. If it does, then there is a broken belt in one of the tires.

I had a similar problem.I took my car to a local suspension shop that deals with a lot of track cars. The wheel alignment was straight and the corner balancing was almost perfect. They ended up switching the 2 front tires and flipped the tires to go in the correct direction.I also had to have my steering wheel centered. They told me that they have heard that sometimes when the tires heat up at freeway or higher speeds and expand, sometimes a tire may not shrink back down to stock specs and that may cause the car to pull to the left or right due to one tire being somewhat larger in overall size.

Yes, I forgot about this. The Advans are directional and can do some funny things when mounted in the wrong direction. Usually they just make more noise, but you might want to check that. There's an arrow on the sidewall of the tire that shows the direction of rotation. Make sure that's pointing the right way.

If it is a separated belt, the only repair is to buy a new tire.
