Megan Track Coilover Setup

Does anyone know what height the megan track series coilovers are set at from the factory? What about camber? I noticed the camber plates are set at something but I jsut don't know what? Also is lowering them a trial and error process? Can you actually tell the amount of drop by how many inches you go down on the spring adjustment perches? I also noticed that I did not get a brake line holder..... Is that usually supplied or what?

They aren't preset at all. The height is pretty much stock Evo height..maybe even higher. They will lower however much you adjust them. Camber will need to be set after you get them on also. You can screw all the factory brake line holders up to the back of the strut...just like stock.

The upper spring perch should not need to be adjusted. If anything just snug it tight so the spring doesn't move and tighten down the collars. You use the bottom perch to adjust the ride height to whatever you want. The camber plates should be set in the middle 0 setting.

The "brake line holder" should be a screw on the back of the front strut that the factory brackets fit on. You'll see it is in the same location as the stock strut.

If you don't know how to do your own coilovers you should really have a place that knows how to install it put it in for you.

Well I did my own lowering springs so the coilovers should not be a problem.... The coilovers wouldn't be all that bad if they came with freaking instructions.... I have the idea now how to adjust the height. Thanks Now what does the second knob on the top of the strut do? I didn't mean to call it a brake line holder... lol more like a brake line mounting bracket. But it was late for me and I was tired. tired. :P

2nd Knob? There should only be one knob on the top of the strut.

If you're talking about the shiny ring thing you can loosen under the top black adjuster - that is to take out the adjuster if you want. Loosen it and you can pull the adjuster out of the strut. It is useful to tighten the top nut if needed. You can stick an allen key into the hole to keep the shock from spinning as you tighten the nut.

Most coilovers are pretty straight forward. I've installed at least 5 sets of them on all sorts of cars. Most of the time the instructions are in Japanese so it doesn't help me much.
