Tire Pressure

I recently read;

http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbi...yre_bible.html

And they have a section on tire pressure about factory labeled vs tire rated. I was wondering if anyone has experiences with using the 10% max rule with the tire recommendation vs. the factory with aftermarket tires.

Thanks!

i normally run about 3 to 5 psi more than the recommended tire pressure, depending on car. I have run as high as 44 psi on one of my trucks but when running though a puddle at the gas station i noticed that at that pressure the tire didn't have complete contact with the road and dropped the pressure back a bit. I also recommend to run atleast 2 more psi for every inch larger wheel than factory.

This is for daily driving. Drag race drop the pressure a bit and road race bump the pressure up a bit.

I run enough pressure on the fronts to keep from rolling over the shoulder of the tires. On the rear, I run whatever pressure to fine tune the handling.
