Greddy Coilover Help
Greddy Coilover Help
I just installed my Greddy Type S coilover and everything seemed to be fine except for the weird sound that the springs are making everytime i turn the wheel to either left or right. Is it normal? would appreciate any input. thanks.

There are still som noieses that i can hear every now and then but not as much as before. I only have less than 500 miles on them so far. regarding the spring rates its 8k front and 6k rear. I have not tried it on the track yet. but streetwise its a bit stiffer than stock (MR Bilsteins) on ten turns to hard from soft all the way.
First day I installed Neuspeed springs on one of my previous cars... the springs squeaked...bad. Sounded terrible & only when turning or going over a large bump... after about a week of this, it went away. Give it a week or two & that may fix the problem... there probably just settling.
yeah thats what i thought but i dont have any squeeking and nothing on bumps, just some clank every once in a while when i turn the wheels, still have some, but rarely use my car, hope it will go away. thanks for the advice
I don't think this is normal. I also don't think it is your springs that are making the noise, since it is happening when you are turning the wheels left and right. Something in your suspension is hitting something else. Get it up on a lift/jack stands and check your suspension as you move the steering wheel left and right. Or have it checked out.
Springs only need to seat on fixed perch stock style dampers ... height adjustable coilovers are a different design.

It's possible that the creaking/groaning is coming from the pillow ball mount. Which is not uncommon, but can be unsettling if you are not used to the solid mounts. Make sure all the bolts are tightened to the correct torque and that nothing is interfering anywhere else.
We had a similar experience with some KW's and it turned out to be a bent camber plate.

Got it fixed thank you all. no more annoying sound. when i lowered it i adjusted the springs not the monotube itself, now i did it right and its not bouncy coz now it has its full shock play
