Coil overs or LSD? please help me decide
i would like to make my car handle better, but i am not sure which will be the better route to go.
co's seem like the obvious choice, but i have read so many "installing the lsd was the best handling mod" comments?
i have a 03 evo 8 & stcok suspension w/29k miles on the stock clutch & I foresee me changing that in the near future, so i am thinking a new diff would be easier @ this time as well.
i dont drag race, but then again, i want to be able to launch my ride without too much worry & I dont track my car, but i want it to handle better & hopefully ride a bit smoother over the bumps.
i am about to get a mueller stg1 set-up/alignment = f/r bushing, rear swaybar & alignment after the clutch install.
i dont have the funds to get top of the line co's or have someone install this for me too, as i do all my mechanical work.
so cost is considered on this deal.
any advice / insight based on personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

I can't comment on the LSD; I didn't drive my 03 all that aggressively as compared to my IX.
You can get a nice set of springs for < $300. Then save for the set of Coilovers you want down the road. Just my .02.
A good set of springs will give you a small drop, more aggressive look, better response, and smoother ride over the bumps.
Of course, a mid level set of coilovers will do all that and more! Depends on your needs and budget.
If you've got the money for coilovers now and plan to track the car; do it; but doesn't sound like you fall into this category. Personally, I hate rebuying stuffs.

Coilovers/Springs then LSD. The difference you will feel from coilovers/springs will be much greater than the difference you will feel from an LSD.
Yes MR bilsteins, IMHO, are much better than the regular EVO struts (KYB). It does a much better job absorbing bumps than the KYBs.

Installing a Quaife LSD in front was one of the best mods I did on the EVO.
