brakes acting up, please help!!

so after this weekends autox, i noticed that my brakes are acting up

during one of my runs, i heard something pop, but thought nothing of it, the brakes worked fine during the autox, it wasnt untill after that i noticed they were acting up...first off, i noticed that the pedals/steering wheel started to shake more then normal, then when i went to hit the brakes, the pedal went all the way to the ground and hardly stopped (scared the **** ouf of me)after pumping the pedal a few times it regained the pressure and stopped fine, and thats where it sits now, i have to pump the brakes a few times in order to get it to stop, the initial pump does nothing and goes to the floor w/ no stopping power

does anyone know what i need to do? i'm thinking about bleeding the brakes first and see where that takes me. do you guys have any other suggestions as to what i should look at?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you have air in the hydraulic system. Did you bleed the brakes recently? Perhaps you left a bleeder screw loose.

Did you check the level of the brake fluid in the master cylinder resevoir? If you have a leak if might be noticably lower. How about fluid around a wheel?
