springs?

I have a stock 04 gsr. Wondering if I could install some springs with a soft drop..like eibach pro kit/ h & r something with like a 1-1.4 inch drop without needing a camber kit. I don't want to adversely affect the handling. thx in advance

From what I've read, Eibachs aren't the best way to go for Evos.

Just to get it out of the way, coil-overs are the best way to go, but will cost money for the increased handling ability and adjustability.

That aside, if you choose to only do springs (if you're not too much into taking your car to tracks or if you don't feel like spending a few grand), the Tanabe GF210s (I believe that's what they're called) have a nice visual drop if that's your main goal, but the Swifts seem to be the best springs sold at this moment, with a really nice drop and pretty good handling to go with it, however they are some of the more pricey springs for Evos. GTWORX.com is currently developing a set of springs (which I am personally waiting for) that is going to have a minimal drop but performance and ride as the priorities during development. I remember reading that they were using the Swifts as their benchmark.

Check out the GTWorx springs:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=217693

Their springs are specifically designed for the EVO and well matched to the stock KYB shocks.

Forget the poorly designed Eibach Pro-kit for the EVO it'll actually make handling worse ...

Do yourself a favor and search.

The spring question has been beat to death just in the past few months. Check the sticky to get the info on specific drops.

Swifts, Works, Espiler GT --> all good choices that give the visual drop and also increase the handling ability of the car w/o worsening the ride.

GTWorx springs are also ones to consider as mentioned, but aren't out yet.
