You may as just well get the Motons earlier than later, meaning, if you have done enough track time on the stock suspension you may as well spend $4700 on the Motons straight-up, instead of spending $1000-$2000 on a set of good (but lesser) coilovers and then eventually Motons...but that's just me

Robi's KW club's. They beat out the moton's with a professional consistent driver last time attack. And even before that i believe. Also they are cheaper and he can customize them for who you and and what you do with the evo. Plus he'll come to you...hows that for service.

That is very good information. Congrats to Robi. I have not decided on what set-up I may go with in the future. My point was more of a general one in the sense that I would rather go from A to C then A to B to C. It is cheaper in the end

if money is no object, robi will sell you something better than his clubsports, or comp 2's.

Not sure what the relationship is, but if i remember right, he's running dms 50's on his car. Again, if money was no object.

It's more getting someone to set it up, and believing in their experience and their way of doing it. a 5k suspension isn't better than a 200 set of springs, if it wasn't properly done as a package.

edit: i can't complain a bit about my clubsports.

Just thought i'd post some pretty pictures of a recent customer's custom Moton Clubsports we put together....

Sorry, I can't give exact details on his set-up. But we're using Eibach springs, Works Camber Plates, and Works rear pillowball mounts. And sorry for the crappy pics. And I reversed the helper springs after these pics were taken.

The Motons are simply a joy to work with. Everything fits together so perfectly, everything goes where it's supposed to, and the tolerances are just perfect. Even the way they are packaged impresses you. The quality is just amazing, to say nothing of the on track performance. Everything just works perfectly. It makes you happy that somewhere....someone out there is doing it right.

sigh.

Check with Robert Fuller, As Warmpepsi put it setup is VERY important. He can supply a custom valved set of dampers and setup the car for you - it really is the best way.

PM me if you want his number

Quoted for truth! Setup is very important ... when you head into the territory of race quality shocks all the big names, Koni (not their cheap stuff), Motons, Ohlins, DMS, Penske are very good. The construction, design and valving is superiour to all the cheapo stuff in the market. Pick your poison ...

I'm VERY happy with my Robispec'd KW Clubsports.

Robert came to me, installed them C/O's, laser alighned, and corner weighted the car in one day. I was on Tein Flexes prior to being Robispec'd and the difference is / was truly night and day.

To the OP: my $.02 ... save the money, stay on the stock suspension (fix some of the basic suspension geometry issues), and then spend your money on learning to push the limits of your current setup ... as in professional instruction. Once you can say that you have mastered your current setup, then it's time to think about upgrading ...
