minor incident = abs problem

hey gents

i gave my car (evo 8 mr - stock) a little too much round a corner and mounted a gutter

the rubber took most of the force however i did damage my bbs rims a little

no major damage, suspension, axle, drive train/shaft are all fine, no cracks, no leaking fluids and mechanically there is no problem with the vehicle

there is a problem with the ABS light now - and of course, rattle when driving due to the rim / tire / wheel alignment

under light braking (the slightest touch, it goes straight to ABS, no normal brakes) after driving for like a minute, the ABS light comes on and i don't think i have any ABS at all (even under super hard braking when ABS would normally come on)

question, would the vibration / hit have damaged my ABS system? (im guessing it has) thus causing the light to come on as soon as i gain some speed / apply the breaks?

i do honestly hope that it will not be an overly expensive fix

any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

thanks in advance,

changas

Before you take it to the dealership, I would replace any bent rims or damaged suspension parts so they cover it under warranty (if you're still within warranty). If they realize you ran over a curb, you're going to be on the hook for the bill.
