Wheels weight question

right now i have a set of 18x9.5 wheels that weigh around 20lbs, im thinking about getting another set that weights between 21-23lbs, would there be a noticable effect in performance? basically, is there a real reason not to get wheels that weight a couple of pounds more?

Car will be a hair slower, handle a tad worse. Some people would notice it, some wouldn't. Since I'm guessing this is not an all out racecar where you're competing for tens of thousands of dollars, I'd say that you wouldn't notice.

Depends on if you plan to show off the car or race the car. Neither will be good for drag, which is what I think your car is setup for, so I assume you'll have smaller, lighter rims for drag racing, right? If so, then get whatever rims you like most for daily driving.

Your current rims are quite badass. They are what many of us use for racing our Evos at a high level, but the Gullflames would be for looks only.

^^ i agree, i definitely wont be autocrossing as there are no tracks around where i live. im going to be using the car for the street/ drag race. i have a body kit, so i figured that going with something like a lightweight 17x9.5 wheel would make it difficult to get around town compared to the 18s.

i know the nto3s are nice, which is making the decision hard. my car is definitely set up for racing (suspension etc), but kind of leaning towards the gulflames for the look plus alot easier to keep clean (which i know should not be that important).

couple of questions i have is, is the nto3 going to be the stronger wheel (need a strong wheel due to potholes around where i live)? what would the performance comparison be like between the two according the the offsets i will be running?
