stock wheel and tire dimensions?

 

OH boy. 17x8 235/45/17

 

i was thinking about buying some

16x6 +46 (stock wheel)
Stock tire is 205/50/16

would that be good for winter spares?

 

They won't fit over your brakes. Good winter spares are used stock wheels or something cheap like stock size Rota Torques.

i know that 15s cant fit over the brakes, is it because of the width?

 

Anything less than 17" wide won't fit on the EVO because of the stock Brembo front brakes. Even some 17"s won't fit due to the spoke design. You have to make sure the shop selling you the wheels test fits them on an EVO ...

 

so these tires wont fit on an evo with brembo?

NO THEY WONT!!! That is a stock lancer and unless you have a lance too then they wont fit. The Evo has BREMBO brakes and 17" is the smallest you can put on there. If you really want those wheels then do a brake conversion to the OZ Lancer.
