Why doesn't your friend just get some upgraded rotors for less?

If you want some help, please provide a lot more information. Ex: mileage, current set up, symptoms, what does he want to do with the car, etc..

sounds like the dealership is trying to make some quick cash. You can get upgraded pads, rotors, stainless lines cheaper than $2K

The stock rotors should have plenty of meat left on them at 28k miles. Heck, that's amazing he's still on the stock pads. Just get some new pads and drop them in, done.

when you say cnc the rotors, you mean machine them on a brake lathe? Why would new rotors need machined? Can anyone shed light on price of new oem rotors from the dealer? Tell your friend to ask them to itemize the repair as to how much parts,
labor, ECT are costing. $2000 for brakes??? Bottom line is your friend is taking it in
the pooper!!
